PostHeaderIcon Profile Judge Joseph Nyamihana Mulenga

Judge Joseph Nyamihana MULENGA graduated from the London University with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and was called to the English Bar by the Middle Temple Inn of Court.

He first worked as a Public Prosecutor in the Department of Public Prosecutions in Uganda, rising through the ranks from Pupil State Attorney to Senior State Attorney. He later worked for some years as a legal practitioner in private practice. He has served as Minister of Justice and Attorney-General.

Since 1997, Justice Mulenga has been a Justice of the Supreme Court of Uganda. In 2001 he began working as a Judge of the East African Court of Justice (EACJ) where he is the current President.

Judge Kelello Mafoso-Guni

Judge Kelello Justina MAFOSO-GUNIĀ is from Lesotho. She has been elected for a term of 4-years. She was a former Prosecutor, Magistrate and civil servant. She studied Law in Edingburgh, UK as well as in Lesotho and Swaziland. Prior to her appointment as a Judge of the African Court, she was a Judge of the High Court of Lesotho, becoming the first woman ever to sit on that court.
